Skye Darling is a singer-songwriter and violinist weaving stories and songs from her little corner of Boston, Massachusetts. With a sound that drifts between old-time fiddle tunes, jazz textures, maqam-infused melodies, and Celtic elements, her music is rooted in tradition and memories, yet always seeking something new.
Her songs have been played around campfires in the cool summer air, as well as in historic concert halls, where she has collaborated with artists like Alireza Khodayari, xander., Sneaky Miles, Ben Laine, Nick Rolser, Vanessa Hale, and Teesa. Her music has also been featured at Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop Festival, sharing the stage with renowned musicians such as Jamey Haddad, Kala Ramnath, Mike Block, Edward Pérez, and Balla Kouyaté. As an orchestral violinist, she can be found in symphonies and theater pits, performing with groups like Celtic Woman, Apollo Ensemble, and Horizon Ensemble.
Skye was recently named one of Portsmouth Music Hall’s Emerging Artists, earning a grant to bring her debut EP to life—currently in the works with Almanak Creative.
Skye holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studied with Katie Lansdale, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. When not creating music, Skye can be found dancing ballet, crafting friendship bracelets, and working with young musicians around the city.
About

Dear Reader,
I am so glad you’ve found your way here.
These songs were born in the quiet of my childhood bedroom—and all the bedrooms that followed.
They grew up with me—
from whispered lyrics while learning guitar,
to the crackle of a campfire under open skies.
In between the heartache and the soft hum of late-night thoughts,
they found their shape.
They sat with me in the silence,
especially when I didn’t know what to say.
They carry the echoes of heartbreaks I couldn’t name at the time,
and the pinpricks of joy tucked inside fleeting moments.
They’ve sparked laughter, warmed old friendships,
and offered stillness when the world felt too loud.
When the last bit of light dips below the hills,
and the sky blushes pink over the faces of people you love—
I hope you hear my music stirring there
in the hush, the ache, the golden quiet between day and night.
If you find a piece of yourself, someone you love,
or someone you’ve loved in these words,
then somewhere across time and space,
we’ve shared a feeling.
Thank you for making my songs whole.
Grace and peace
